College Football: Tennessee Volunteers ready to upset Florida Gators - ESPN

One of the keys to Bear Bryant's success was that he always had a plan for how to go about winning a game. For the most part, that plan involved stockpiling a larger amount of faster, tougher, stronger players than his opponents, but he knew that, great recruiting notwithstanding, there were going to be times when he would face a matchup in which his team was outmanned.

I love the Vols, and I always think that we have a chance, but we ain't primed to upset anybody just yet. Gotta prove we can play good football against a quality opponent for longer than a half. Gotta make good decisions under pressure and not fold when the breaks don't go our way.

Anything is possible, however, and I'll be pulling for my Volunteers regardless. Go Vols!

Good read. I'll be verrrry cautiously optimistic.
Hope UT can beat them, but not really expecting it.

A lot of these stats are misleading from the first game. The botched snaps "appear" to be rectified. It's hard to develop a rhythm offensively. That being said, coming to Knoxville has me very nervous about Pouncey's snapping ability. Also, the vertical game has been non existent I will guess due to vanilla play calling. We opened things up a bit for USF and have had more success. Again, I will point to the snapping issues and not developing any rhythm. The Chris Rainey situation will also add to the trip in a negative fashion with all the distractions. Yes, this game has all the ingredients for an upset if a lot of these issues aren't corrected. But the stats this article is displaying are skewed to say the least. They always are in the patsy games.

Amen brother, im reading into everything you said there and have to add that ive noticed one other thing about the Gators this year. THEY JUST DONT HAVE THE UMPP that they have had the last few years. With all that you said and the lack of the umpp, the way I picture it VOLNATION will be rocking into the early hours of the game between the vols and gators 2011!!!!:thumbsup::pepper:

A good read from ESPN and you guys still wanna doubt. Man, we have a chance to get on the right track with a win. I feel we can beat UF. We could have beat OU also, if the thunder hadn't came. We'll be fine, and I'll be there in Section U Row 54 cheering them on!!!!

I hope we win, but I don't think we are primed for anything. Especially considering how the team and the crowd laid down after half time...

Gators haven't looked great in their first 2 games. Our offense doesn't move the ball consistently. Our defense is legit, I think. If we win, I doubt we would cover the spread. It will probably be a close game.

Both teams have to play in the same conditions, wouldn't have made a difference. We just quit. (referencing the rain comment)

Spend more time by the water Yankee. It'll come to you, and then you'll want it.
