Watching the coverage of Peyton's retirement - with cloudy eyes - got me thinking about the best pro careers of Vols. We have been fortunate to watch a great number of Volunteers in the NFL and it will not be the same this upcoming season without Manning.

A lot of my interest in the NFL has been based on UT players in the league. Below is a list off the top of my head of Vols who have had great pro careers. Honorable mention goes to Condredge Holloway for a stellar CFL career. Who am I leaving out?

Peyton Manning
Reggie White
Doug Atkins
Bob Johnson
Stanley Morgan
Tim McGee
Fuad Reveiz
Reggie McKenzie
Stanley Morgan
Roland James
Dale Carter
Carl Pickens
Al Wilson
Jamal Lewis
Jason Witten
Jack Reynolds

Terry McDaniel CB (Raiders 88-97, Seahawks 98) was a 4x All Pro
Chad Clifton OG (Packers 00-11) was a 2x Pro Bowl selection
Willie Gault WR, KR (Bears 83-87, Raiders 88-93) could have been MVP of Super Bowl XX

Big time omissions on my part. I saw Gault return a kickoff for a touchdown against Pitt early in the Major's era. That was the only score we had, we lost 30 - 6 if I remember correctly.
