Tennessee shook off a slow start to complete a midweek sweep of Mississippi Valley State, doubling up the Delta Devils, 8-4, on Wednesday night at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Junior Drew Steckenrider went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and fired 1.2 innings of shutout relief in the win.
For a losing team below 500 they played way better than their record for most of the game.
Excellent for Vols to get back on the winning track. Hope they can continue when they play the Tide.
