that was their home field up to 2007. Be basically a Home game for UCF the University built a new stadium

I don't have an issue with playing UCF. I think they would be a good game. Citrus bowl on New Years Day in a hot recruiting area would be good too.

Issue I have is we would have to go 5-5 to fall into that game and honestly I see us doing better than that...

We should be playing UCF the first week of the season to get ready for Florida not end of year

I think there is < 25% chance we finish season, but any bowl sounds good to me. Citrus is upgrade from last year, would show progress.

You did hear they had like 500 cases in Tuscaloosa, right?
And? They're testing everyone and few of those cases are going to be "serious" enough that the person would miss class if not for the politics and scary media narrative.

They're also doing stupid, ineffective things like mask mandates... while sending those kids into classrooms, dorms, apartments, and other indoor areas with shared return HVAC air. A few people go in and cough... and it gets recycled for everyone to share for the rest of the day. The guy down the hall is quarantined for Covid... the aerosols he produces all day long by coughing and sneezing infect the rooms of everyone else.

And masks... are not a solution for this. Masks may reduce the amount of Covid being put into the air by an infected, symptomatic carrier. But they do not stop it. Viral load still occurs if there isn't enough air exchange to prevent it.

Until solutions become focused on viral load and areas most likely to create it... the virus is going to spread.

Then there is this... which has consistently proven true though our efforts to "flatten the curve" have actually extended the misery.

I wonder if the win requirement for bowls will be reduced with the other conferences sitting out.

I think the season will happen. I do not think the bowls will happen as there are just too many variables including contracts at play. Not sure I want to see a bowl game with UCF after the schedule we have. Kind of a let down.

Sure there is. Bowl game when 75% of d1 is not playing at all means extra practice and huge national exposure.
What I mean is I'd rather play a name school that we are likely to get some reputation points by beating, with UCF I think whatever we may stand to gain is a lot less than what we stand to lose if they beat us. It's that way any time a P5 plays a G5. Of course, I want us to go to a bowl, I'd just rather not play UCF.
