Any predictions on tonights bb game? I saw the line opened at 10.5 and is down to 9.5. I guess all the early money is on the Vols.

btw, I saw ESPN earlier and Steve Lavin said this was Buzz's breakout year. He predicted that we would finish second in the East. Rick Majeris said that we had the material and could have a great year if we have good chemistry.

Not that I buy any of that, but I thought it was interesting.

Heels by 15...UNC is loaded and anything less than a Final Four appearance this yr will be disappointing to me. Look for Felton to push and push the tempo..should be a high 80's low 90's game. Watch for super Frosh Marvin Williams..the best frosh in the country this yr. Hopefully he'll stay atleast two yrs.

IM TORN!!!! I was born a UNC fan.....but i bleed orange. Ill be happy whoever wins. I feel like a traitor. :dunno:

UNC is my alma mater, but on weekends I would go to the Tennessee games instead of UNC games. I have been going to Neyland since I was 3! I guess that you could say I am addicted to orange!

You are WAAAY off NC. You think the Heels who just lost their first game of the year are gonna beat the VOLS by 15. You are off your rocker. Heels by 20.

This is a tough matchup for me to watch. Tennessee is my fave college football team, the only team that could ever come close is the TarHeels (which is why I was hoping Spurrier would go there).

In basketball, I've always loved UNC first, and Tennessee 2nd, but it's really close now that UT has UNC alum Buzz Peterson.

If UNC had not already lost, I wouldn't mind if the Vols won as it would be excellent national recognition. But now, the 'Heels cannot afford another loss. So I hope UNC wins on a last second jump shot.

I am also a UNC fan, have been for a long time, but I'm looking for Tennessee to get a crucial win here early in the season.

I would be great if the Vols could pull this off! But they aren't going to do it forcing shots and turning the ball over. At this point, I would just be glad if they could hang with UNC!

Our defense is looking really bad right now. Nobody knows where the UNC's players are. They seemed shocked when someone sneaks up and gets the ball, and all they can do is foul! :bad:

Brandon Crump has regressed in his 4 years as a Vol. Just like I said yesterday we have no inside game whatsoever. Dane Bradshaw has no business playing the point. He can&#39;t handle the ball well enough. Major Wingate...it&#39;s unbelievable he was so highly ranked coming out of high school. All he knows how to do is foul setting the screen. Watson is a decent player but he is overrated. He doesn&#39;t do a good enough job creating shots for his team and his shooting is streaky. Asumnu should have gone with Winchester to Conn. Jordan Howell is Justin Albrecht reincarnated. Our defense is soft. We give up way too many open three&#39;s and our big men have no idea to play fundamental defense. Their idea of a stop is fouling the guy once he gets by you.

Can anyone honestly tell me that Buzz gets the most possible out of his players? Do we have an offensive system besides passing the ball around the top of the key near half court? Do you think this is a disciplined team? Is this a team that plays fundamentally sound and takes care of the basketball? Does Buzz Peterson do a good job at using timeouts and making in game adjustments to stop other teams runs? It wasn&#39;t half way through the first half by the time our game plan (assuming we had one) was out the window and it&#39;s every man for himself to launch the first available shot.

I didn&#39;t expect us to win this game, in fact I was pretty sure we would get routed. We don&#39;t handle adversity well. I had only hoped for a competive game that would at least be respectable.

Obviously I am a little upset and I am not giving up on the season at this point but it disturbes me that this is Buzz&#39;s 4th year as head coach and all I see is more of the same. More turnovers, more bad defense, more scoring droughts, and more lack of fundamental basketball.

By the way, anybody seen Brandon Crump? If you do tell him he is missing the basketball game. Let him know it&#39;s on Channel 16 in case he wants to watch the second half.

By the way if I was Buzz Peterson I would get on the phone in the locker room after this game and beg Don Devoe to come coach our post players.

Isn&#39;t that the truth i have seen better play executions at little league ballgames....Buzz is a great fellow but he is just not getting the job done...I know we are a football school but i would love to just see us have one good year in mens basketball.....
