As our instate talent continues to improve I feel our results will improve as well.

Agree. This is true as long as the staff can land the best.

We have a 6+ million population state that UT does not dominate in recruiting, with only Vandy as a marginal competitor in-state. MS, AL, SC, KY all have multiple major competing programs in their states - yet we have more population than any of them. LSU dominates theirs with only marginal competitors, but has 1.5 million less people to pull from. Time to fix this and cut out the excuses.

Ohio state didn't spend much at all and went undefeated

That is not the point. The point was that it is easier to recruit to a program that is winning.

Ohio also produces more talent than TN right now. Ohio HSFB is typically one of the top 5 for 4/5* players.

Interestingly... Meyer didn't do all that well in OH this year. If UT starts winning, the Vols should cut him out of GA too.
