Tennis Vols Ranked No. 20 in Latest ITA Poll
Vols SEC Opener is March 4 Against Auburn

Tennessee's men's tennis team moved up two spots to No. 20 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association team rankings, which were released Tuesday.

The Vols were ranked No. 25 in the preseason poll released Jan 11. In the last two polls the Vols were ranked No. 22. Both Vol losses this season have occurred to top-10 teams, Duke and Virginia.

Every opponent left on Tennessee's schedule this year is ranked except for Central Florida. SEC opposition Georgia, Florida and Ole Miss are all in the top-six in the current rankings.

The Vols first SEC match is Friday, March 4 at home against No. 19 Auburn.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn – Following a top-five road triumph at No. 5 TCU Sunday and a 3-0 start to the 2022 dual season, the Tennessee men's tennis team ascended to the No. 1 position in Wednesday's updated ITA Top-25 Coaches Poll.

It marks the program's first time as the nation's top team since the Big Orange held that designation from March 15-21, 2011. The Vols began the 2022 season as the fourth-ranked team in the ITA rankings.
