All I know is that Tennessee lost on Senior Day this year in football, men's basketball & women's basketball... all losses to vandie, of all the wretchedness!I’m ready to move senior day maybe to after the game. I know a couple years back there was conversation about moving it. The emotions of the day usually have a negative impact on the players, especially to start the game. Now usually we recover quickly BUT clearly Saturday’s game we never recovered. I know performance should never be affected by things like emotion but it does. Of course missing Ament was obvious and Gillespie struggled to the extreme and we simply couldn’t overcome. Our defense struggled most of the game as well.JMO
True dat. But rather than hoping the snow will melt, I'll play around with the proposal. This is what we call a "straw man" argument
He's been here and did all the right things, if he don'tWill Grant Hurst get the start today because it’s Senior Day?

Posit: Senior Day events are moved from pre-game to postgame.
Suppose it's a football game. We are playing 'bama at Neyland. It's a full house, with over 100,000 people screaming their heads off.
Suppose we are down, 49-21 at the half. The third quarter begins with an interception and suddenly it’s Alabama 56, Tennessee 21. Some fans head for the exits.
At the end of the quarter it’s 66-21. There are about 20,000 fans left in the stadium and half of them are wearing red. The fourth quarter is more of the same. Final score is
Crimson effluent 81, Vols 24.
After a ten minute pause to allow the exuberant 'bama fans to leave, the Senior Day
ceremonies begin, witnessed by a few hundred friends and family members of the seniors.
