Exactly what I'm thinking, no way a 1 day break was due to covid. These coaches, and probably Fulmer specifically, know how some in this fan base would react if players dared to skip practice over social justice issues. I'm betting this was a loophole excuse to appease both sides. If this thing is a 14-day whatever, what good does a 1-day break do?
Methinks there was another motivation...
why is it ok for a huge group to march(which is their right)but we cant gather up and tailgate
Was the march sanctioned (or at least allowed) by the university? Not sure if it was or not, but it seems likely based on the amount of admin they showed in the pictures in this article - Tennessee athletes march against racism on Knoxville campus
Because the virus doesn't like being around protesters, like most Americans and civil human beings.. Tailgates on the other hand, are something every American likes which is why the virus is so attracted to them. Its simple science.why is it ok for a huge group to march(which is their right)but we cant gather up and tailgate
I am too old and in the "vulnerable" category to go to games, but some of you young bucks should organize a tailgate party off campus and say too hell with the manipulative cancel culture administrators and bureaucrats. If you do I hope you enjoy yourselves. GO VOLS!!!why is it ok for a huge group to march(which is their right)but we cant gather up and tailgate
Lol. No. Welcome to 2020.I see this thread went the direction I was expecting once the social justice march was mentioned.
That being said I really am surprised they let the athletes go. We just cancelled practice the day before due to the high number of positives and marching in a large crowd seems very counterproductive. There is room here for common sense, right?
