VOLS recruiting landscape heating up

Below is a list of headlines from 247 for just for the month of June, and there is a similar volume for previous months. Unless memory is failing me, I don't recall such a high frequency of recruiting headlines over the past several years, and especially with such a large portion of the headlines referring to "4-star", "5-star", "elite", "top 247", etc.

The recruiting landscape for the VOLS seems to be heating up, and we might just end up with a surprisingly high final recruiting ranking over the next couple years.

Are you talking about main page headlines or Vol page headlines? Recruiting sites pump out lots of content, some of it is just a link to a tweet - some of it a confirmation from a text saying "yes I'm going to visit" and working that into 5 paragraph article. Wouldnt read too much into the amount of mentions we are getting. Pruitt is a hot coach right now - he's younger, he's more direct, he's fiery and has a ton of passion for the game. There are many other positive selling points too like our history, his time with Saban, the SEC, etc, etc. Lots of buzz around TN but it's to be expected if you understand what we have to offer...

Kids are also camping and playing the whole recruiting game - with coaches, fans and media - don't get sucked into the hype. It's a good start but we got a long way to go.

Vols page headlines, many of the ones that I have seen are more than a 5-paragraph extrapolation from a tweet.
Tennessee Volunteers Headlines

Not trying to make too much of it. Kids have always played the recruiting game. It just seems to be a more fertile recruiting atmosphere that we had seen in the past 5 years under BJ. That's a positive in my view. Fingers crossed, but not too tight.
