How long have you been a Vol fan? are you a true Vol fan? I can't imagine not voting 3-0 and calling myself a Vol fan. Is that realistic ? Maybe not, but that is what I as a fan aspire to for my team, winning every game, and I believe from the depths of my soul that they can do it. This poll is about as useless as the one about the Mascot of course I'd take a win over Florida over winning a stupid mascot contest. I swear some people that call themselves fans , oh forget it , this is coming from the same guy who said he'd rather watch the friggin Ga Boise st game than watch the Vols. Hope you enjoyed it!

The poll asks what you think the record will be not what you hope it will be. I am also a Titans fan but I am not going to say I think they will win the AFC south just because they are my fav NFL team. My personal feeling is that we will be 3-0 because I am confident in this team and not quite sold on FLA or LSU but there was a poll posted and just because somebody thinks we may lose one of two back to back road games against top 10 teams does not mean they are not a "true vol fan". If I started a new poll that asked what our record would be for the next 10 seasons are you going to vote 130-0 just because you are a "true vol fan"? The sheep comment may have been uncalled for but is it a sin to think our beloved vols may lose a game?

This poll is a legitimate Question, so, whatever. This is supposed to be what you think, not what you want. And, yes I enjoyed the Boise ST. game more than our UAB game. It was entertaining watching all those turnover's by that qb. Our game was boring. I hope we win the next two games but I think it's almost impossible for us to win 2 straight road games against top 6 teams. I'm a Tennessee Fan so I don't need you to confirm that either. How can you be a fan and not be realistic?

I believe it to be possibility that we can win both games, I just don't think we are going to.
When I was calling them sheep, I was simply poking fun at them and trying to make them laugh and lighten the mood. I call my friends sheep all the time. It's just something I say when people sound Optimistic about Tennessee. People call me a sheep sometimes....hell, I've called myself a sheep, it's just something funny me and my friends do. I'm just keepin folks in check. Don't take it personal, G.

People not thinking UT will go 3-0 are people like me.

Usually, I see us losing 1-2-3 games at times.

But this weekend, I see an ass kicking about to happen

Now for the reality check..... 3-0.

The Vols are 3-1 versus Florida the last 4 seasons, including 2-0 at Florida. The shine is about to come off new Florida coach Urban Meyer after he plays the best defense he's EVER coached against. This ain't the MAC or MtnWest!!! Just for perspective, at this same point in his career as Urban Meyer... Fulmer only had one less victory WHILE COACHING IN THE SEC.

LSU is also breaking in a new coach. Special teams saved them in the 4th quarter against Arizona State, but their offense looked terrible. LSU will have a hard time scoring on the Vols during the day, during the night, in Baton Rouge or anywhere else. Historically, the Vols have owned LSU to the tune of 19-5-3. The Tigers fear UT. Even when the Vols were 5-4-1 in 1959, Tennessee beat #1 ranked LSU 14-13.

And if your judging the Vols based on a solid 17-10 victory over a good UAB.... let's examine opening games of the past (SEC Champhionship Teams).....

1998 Tennessee 34, Syracuse 33 (Vols finish 13-0, ranked 1st)
----- The Vols beat Florida 20-17 in overtime the next week.
1997 Tennessee 52, Texas Tech 17 (Vols finish 11-2, ranked 7th)
------ The Vols beat UCLA in Pasadena 30-24 the next week.
1990 Tennessee 31, Colorado 31 (Vols finish 9-2-2, ranked 7th)
------ The Vols won the next 3 games 55-7, 40-7, and 56-0
1989 Tennessee 17, Colorado State 14 (Vols finish 11-1, ranked 5th)
----- The following week, the Vols beat 6th ranked UCLA in Pasadena 24-6
1985 Tennessee 26, UCLA 26 (Vols finish 9-1-2; ranked 4th)
----- The following week, the Vols upset #1 Auburn 38-20

My honest opinon, take it for what it's worth. If you think I'm not a true Vol fan because of this, then I guess my record of only missing 2 home games since 1990 doesn't mean much of anything.

Anyway, before the season, I had a feeling we would get out of this 2 game stretch at 2-1. The losses were a real toss up to me, but I had a feeling we'd lose to Florida and then rebound for a win at LSU. Now, after watching the UAB game, and coupling that with the LSU situation, I'm not sure of that, either.

I know how UT plays as the underdog, which they are this weekend. I also know our past history against Florida. Regardless of winning 3 out 4 against them, I have a feeling we are not going to win Saturday night. Again, I thought before the season that we would lose at Florida and come back with a big win at LSU. Now, with all that has happened down there, I'm not sure we can win that game, either.

Call me a pessimist if you will, but that is just my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, I'll still be sheering my ass off at the bar for the Vols when they take the field Saturday night. To me, Florida is just like Alabama. I never feel comfortable going into a game with them, no matter the circumstances.
