Calipari went to midcourt last night at Memphis Midnight Madness at FedEx Forum and asked Rose to dunk. His dunk got a standing ovation from the crowd and players said it was best dunk they had ever seen. Thank goodness he probably plays just one year.

I'm not too sold on Prince and am not sure how Williams is doing. If Memphis played us and went down low with their bigs then they could probably take us, but if we dictated tempo like we did last year and make it a shooting contest then the advantadge is on us.

I think Prince will surprise you. He has a lot of talent. I saw just about every Rocky Top league game and he did surprise me. Sure he wasn't playing against the elete talent that he will see in the SEC, but you can tell he had game. Extremely good player coming off the bench. Best bench in the country. Prince, Crews, Childress, Williams and Howell (oh yeah and S. Pearl). I'm not sold at all on Tatum. Only time will tell. My opinion is that he should definitely be redshirted. We don't need him this year, so let him learn and develop and not waste a year.

A guy that I think will turn a few heads is Childress. Now, he's not going to be no 6 man of the year winner, but if he can shoot the ball as well as he was towards the end of the season and can be solid down low, he can be a great asset to the team.

Come on now. It was a dunk. Let's see what he does against D-1 defenses instead of Taking a running open start.

Pearl would never let a team like this get overconfident. He has too much energy to allow something like that to happen.

They showed the dunk on Sports Center... wasn't really great at all. In fact I think Jajuan and Chism had dunks 'during' an actual game last year that were better.

This town is about to burst at the seams over Rose. If he lives up to 1/3 of his hype he'll be the greatest player of all times -at any level.

But at the end of the day - he may end up like most other super hyped players at UM since Penny.

Seems like a lot of hype for a kid that wasn't even considered the top player or even a top 3 player in the recruiting class this year by a few recruiting services.

Derek Rose will lead Memphis deep into the tournament and be one of the first 5 picks in the 2008 NBA Draft. Period.

Not sure about Derek, but Memphis fans will tell you Derrick Rose will lead them to the NCAA championship, then they will enter the NBA tournament and sweep that too.

The kid may be good - but no way he has a Durant or Oden type year especially with such a good team surrounding him.

Tennessee v. Memphis may be a 1 v. 2 matchup, and looks to be the biggest regular season game on tap, at least at the moment.
