Tennessee rallied to tie the game after trailing by five runs early, but Auburn answered with seven two-out runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to claim a series-opening 11-5 victory on Friday night at Plainsman Park.

i like the new coach we have, but we have a long way to go. we will not be going to hoover this year. we are hitting .254 as a team, and i'm sorry, but that will not get it done. i know we have some players coming next season that can help, so we will have to wait till next year for any shot at post season play. notice how the number of threads and posts have gone down on baseball the last 2weeks ? i wonder why ? i'm still behind cds for as long as it takes to get it done, but that will be a while.

I understand your frustration and agree DS has a LONG road ahead of him. There has been plenty of flashes this year that DS can and will do a good job. The reality of the situation is setting in and that is Tennessee simply doesn't have the talent to compete at this point.
