Hey everyone, like most here we're doing whatever we can to pass the time until football season finally begins. One thing we're doing over on our site is to preview each opponent on our schedule. I know that some of you form here signed up over on Tigalaya last season. Y'all are welcome to stop by and contribute to our Vols preview thread. HERE is the link.

I was hoping to make it to this year's game, but unfortunately it's not going to work out. Didn't get tickets through LSU and already passing through to go see LSU @ WVU this season. I wish we played one another more often. I have yet to see Neyland Stadium in person. :/

good link. most of that is spot on except we didnt add a JUCO LB, it was a DT. Our secondary is a lot better than most people think and is also experienced

Front 7 on "D' may not return starters... but with a broad rotation last year the two true freshman ends jacques smith and cory miller saw signifigant playing time and will be better than expected... as well as getting back two guys who were on the shelf nursing injuries last year on the D-Line in Marlon Walls and Ben Martin.... both will have a ton of playing time and should be above average performers... the DT JUCO transfer couch is 50-50... could be all world... could be all nothing.... but not a bad writ up for an outsider looking in... I expect another close one as this series is seemingly the trend of nail biters for the most part over the last ten years or so with a few exceptions..

Good write up. People are really underestimating our defensive backfield though. They will shock some teams.

Thanks for the feedback. Looking forward to this game as much as any other this season. Your defensive backfield may be a really tough matchup for us by the time our game arrives. We have a VERY young group of receivers this season.

I think our young receivers will surprise some folks. They don't have a lot of starting experience but they do have a ton of time on the field and have been in the endzone enough to know what it feels like. They came in with Bray and have been playing catch together for over a year. I think it will be an exciting group to watch.

Fair write up I would say. How many forums does LSU have?

Three that are free to everyone. Then there's a couple that are pay site based. In addition, there are the rivals and scout forums. So at least seven active sites that I can think of off hand.

As for my site, August 27 of this year will mark it's one year anniversary.

fair writeup

RB - i would add that Marlin Lane may well be the guy in the backfield once the season progresses if healthy - i would say poole is serviceable, not yet proven he is good, we'll see

Defensive secondary - i actually think this will be a good unit - a lot of their problems last year emanated from the fact that we could not get pressure on the QB or push up front until we moved Malik Jackson from end to tackle - when you don't push the pocket is hard for any DB not named Deon Sanders to look good

unfortunately hard to argue with the front 7 assessment - i do think Jacques Smith at end should get a mention - he showed some promise as a frosh and was a very highly recruited guy who has gained some weight and experience now and should have a chance to be an effective edge rusher

I need to be hooked up with some LSU fans coming up for the game. I want some of that delicious tailgate food.

Also, even after last year, LSU is one of maybe two SEC schools I don't hate.

Another jab at Poole. Smh. If he runs for 2000 this year it will be because of the line being better I'm sure.
