Vols Practice Thread #20

Very interesting. He would’ve had to have been there for a couple days to get through the acclimation period before he could go full pads? IF that is him, he’s been there longer than today.

You can practice with the team if you are just waiting for clearing house right? I thought I heard something like that. He could have been there for 5 days for the "conditioning period" and then knowing he would get a decision this week he might not "officially" be with the team until then?

I think it’s Nyles Gaddy. These number changes are throwing me. False alarm. 😔

This conspiracy lol. I do not believe Pruitt could secretly hide J.J. Peterson from the press and from WVU. The moment he is on campus and practicing in full pads we would know (i.e. that is not him). Trust me, I badly want JJ on campus but let's not go full Gruden again.

Well, it may very well be J.J.

"JJ Peterson says on FB that he'll be at Tennessee on Monday or Tuesday.

JJ would have to go through the acclimation period, no way he would be in full pads. Its Gaddy.

I think we should all be ready to call JG the QB of the first drive unless CJP calls a last minute audible.
honestly, that has been the case since the spring game. there seems to be a perception that JG is not ready or up to level of Chryst based on last years performance. last years performance was actually good when you break down the film. last years OL was terrible and had no experience down the stretch. JG was hurried all year and could have easily threw 10 INT's. the main reason JG is and should be the starting QB is due to his low turnovers last year. He protected the football when times were tough. given, UT did not score many points, JG protection of the ball and low turnovers was something to praise for a freshman QB, with bad coaches, bad OL, and no defense. I predict that he will surprise fans with his ability to run the ball this year. no doubt he has a great arm, but our new OL should allow him to bootleg more and provide first downs via rollout options.

All in on JG

Something isn't right?!?!?!

Hearing the names of our best players practicing this close to the season? I thought we were supposed to get all of the most important players injured before now?

..........Strange

There's still time.

Lol, I'm not superstitious but you should knock on some wood.
