On Dec. 12th, 2015 my dad passed away at the age of 80 after a second heart attack in 4 months. My dad LOVED the Volunteers. He is the person who introduced me to Tennessee football. We used to listen to John Ward and Bill Anderson together. We would watch the games with the sound muted when they would come on TV so we could listen to the Voice of the Vols. We would watch The Bill Battle and Johnny Majors Show together when I was living at home. He is the guy that took me to my first Tennessee football game after getting tickets from Col. Tom Elam as many fans here in Union City did. He was looking forward to the Vols getting back on top. He enjoyed this season. I'm sad he is gone. I'm sad he won't get to watch his Vols play in the bowl game in January. I'm so happy he introduced me to the Vols. I've been a fan since 1966. Love ya Pops and GO VOLS !!!

Sorry for your loss. Sounds like he was a great guy. He will have the ultimate luxury box seats for all future games.

Wow....you just described me and my dad too. He is 79 yrs old, took me to my 1st game in 1963. Season ticket holder for 32 yrs. He is a vol to the core. He was so proud to see a grandson run thru the T as a football staff member for 3 years.
I can't wait to watch the outback bowl game with him this year....I'm going to stop and smell the roses with my VFL dad.
Sorry for your loss.
