That's crazy...but if I'm Bru, do I really try another a this level or take my chances in the NFL?
I mean yeah you get another year of NIL money here, but I would imagine even being practice squad for 3 to 5 years in the NFL would pay better and have better opportunity.

That's not saying I wouldn't LOVE to have him back...because I definitely would !!!

Funny how we love 'em when they come to us, but crucify them when they leave us...or even (possibly) talk to other schools. Tennessee wasn't this guy's first choice, and he's doing to Bama what so many others are doing to us, so what makes him such a great catch? Isn't he just playing that game, too? Who's to say he won't leave us at the end of next season? And what did he do this season that was so impressive, given he didn't play in a single game?
I, and maybe I'm the only one,am happy he's spending the next year wearing orange. I like the ones we are getting more than the one's that left. Squirrel is something to be rolled in meal and deep fried.

Sounds good.

Now. All the weeping and gnashing of teeth is coming to end I see. Can we go ahead a pre-plan next year, so we DON'T melt like snowflakes when a bunch of players leave? Get used to it. In the current format, top teams are just going to shuffle good players every year as 19-20 year olds test their chances to make money playing ball. It's the new normal, so let's embrace it please.
You act like we just pulled in a receiver that caught 25 TD last year…

Saw Amari Jefferson on Dave Hooker show this morning. He is an extremely articulate intelligent young man. I did not realize his dad was a coach. With 4 seasons to play this is a huge addition for the Vols. If Bru McCoy can return the Vols should be set at wide receiver with veterans and young talent.

You act like he is not higher rated than the big majority of our guys that hit the portal. May well be the fastest guy on the team. Heck yes it is a roster management win.
We need someone that has actually played some SEC football. Many of our guys “looked good on paper” last season. It didn’t translate.

Why don’t we go through spring and see if this new retooled WR room fits our next years schemes? Bet CJH will be shopping spring portal and would add an appropriately priced show piece if out there, but doubt he throws stupid money at the high priced fortune hunters who are sexy but a bad value proposition. Those only happy with that class addition will probably be disappointed and turn up the whining level between now and when we can find out where we really are.

I HOPE, not predict, that this retooled room has a much higher ceiling and that enough demonstrate it next fall. Spring provides our first clues.

I think Bru has to prove he can be healthy before he can get good opportunities in the NFL.
He is a great run and screen pass blocker. He's lost a step or 2. He needs to pad his resume.

We need to embrace this new age of jumping ship by players. In fact, I plan to start selling orange jerseys' with " PORTAL" on the back. Also Portal koozies, Portal posters, etc . How about jerseys with " Generic player " on the back ? We can change the name to Tennessee Portals. Players names can be put on with velcro so when they transfer you can just rip their name off and stick on the new transfer. Or maybe jerseys with $$$ signs on the back ?

Well for sure we can compare and contrast the output of both for the duration of their careers and go from there. Better fit for our needs????? TBD.
