Mods....if this needs to be moved....please do so.

I thought the ticket forum was for individuals trying to sell tickets....I just wanted to get the word out for people in the KC area.....that tickets are available directly thru the KU Ticket Office....GO VOLS!!!!!

So what's with the General Admission tix? It said you may have to stand to see the court. I plan on walking in and trying to get a seat as soon as the door swings.
Anybody got any info to offer as far as the whole trip to Lawrence? I'm debating on driving and checking out the country, flying for 2 would be way more expensive. Advise anyone? Cheap flights? Anything would help...

Southwest flies non-stop from Nashville. Check their wanna-get-away fares and you may find a good deal.

By the way about the General Admission thing, does anyone know exactly the procedure for this? I'm guessing that the GA tickets comprise the student section, so does anyone know when gates open, etc. or what you need to do to get a good seat?

Once you're past Nashville there is no country to check out. It's an awful drive. I make it 3 or 4 times a year. Flying from Nashville would be much better and not too expensive if you fly with SW.

The GA tickets are left over student tickets & the kids are on break.....the gates open 2 hours before tip...

I've been to 6 games at Allen Fieldhouse. My wife is a transplanted Jayhawk. The doors open 2 hours before tip and my advice is to be there when they swing open. The GA is the left over student tickets and are mostly behind the baskets and a little each baseline. It is bench seating, no individual chairs. And prepare to stand A LOT. Also, the visitor's entrance to the floor is very accessible and I was thinking of hanging out down there to get some pics of Bruce and the team as they take the floor for warm ups. That is after my wife and in-laws stake out our seats.

Take the advice and fly SW to KC and drive over. It is roughly a 45min drive. Take the Kansas Turnpike it is quicker but is a toll road. It is a straight shot.

When you get to Lawrence, exit at the East Lawrence exit and go to Massachusettes Ave. There is plenty of eats and drinks there. Try Buffalo Bob's Smokehouse for some good KC style BBQ. If you have any specific questions. Feel free to ask!

I plan on coming that Friday, spending the night, getting there early to get in and get a seat. (I'm hoping there's no bad weather at that time!)

Oh, yea, I ordered those tickets and asked for them to be mailed to me. Haven't gotten them yet... Hope I don't have any problems with that either...

I wouldn't worry. I ordered mine right when they went on sale and just got them today, so expect them fairly soon.
