Did espn really expect mighty Ball State to put up a serious challenge?

Now, I could see going from unranked to 23rd or something. Double that as is week 1 and nobody really knew what to expect from anyone. But jumping 15 spots from beating a cupcake, nope.

Way too high. Top 21 to 25 maybe. FL top 15.

Pffttt...a feel good moment but there's no way a team with our roster issues, especially on defense, is top 10. Certainly gives networks some candy to draw eyeballs next weekend. A matchup between ranked teams. Now if we lay the wood to Pitt, that changes my perception.
