Vols in Texas

you could always move back? Lucky for me, here in Charleston there are tons of TN fans. Power T's on the back of cars all around town.

GO VOLS.

Im near Dallas too but most people say Go Vols when I sport the Power T, I guess Im just lucky that way. Ill be in Fort Bliss Nov 6 if you need someone to cheer with!

I realize this is a long shot, but are there any other Vol fans in El Paso? It sucks when you wear a Power T hat and stupid people here think its texas cause they don't know their own team. I have to make sure I wear something that says Tennessee or Vols on it. I go to the texas vs the nation game every year and there are always a couple of TN players(crompton started last year, did a decent job probably helped him get into the NFL), never seen any fans though. Just curious if I am right to assume I am alone here.

I don't live in El Paso, I live in Midland. Quite a few stupid people here too. I order PPV Vols games on my DishNetwork, shut the windows and pretend I'm at the game. It's not much, but it gets me through...

Nice to hear from a Vol fan in Las Cruces! It just might have been me you saw, I go to Las Cruces sometimes and I wear orange all the time. I agree Southeast > southwest of course. Try Gunther's Edelweiss if you like German food. It's a well kept secret and it's awesome.

Thanks for the heads up on Gunthers. Ill definately try it out. well you didn't happen to be at the Clay Walker concert on the 4th of July did you? In Las Cruces. I wish I had direct TV but my apartment doesn't allow satellites any longer so.. Ill be hoping for all the espn games we can get. Which I'm afraid are few and far between. Wish me luck! Nice to hear from you!

Lots of Vol fans in Texas, but it's a big state! I'm in Austin, not a lot of fun dealing with the hubris that is the longhorns.

welcome to VN

Lived in San Antone and now College Station. It ain't God's country but I've grown to dig TX. Met a guy from Houston that's a big Aggie. When he found out where I went to school he tells me his neighbor is a big Vol fan("Plays that dang song all day Sat., puts up flags...are y'all all like that?). Said he'd been trying to get this guy to CS for a game for years but the guy would never leave b/c the Vols were on. Finally gets the guy on an off week to come. Aggie'd been talking up the renovations and additions to Kyle Field-new jumbotron, capacity to near 85,000, etc. Said the Vol walked in, took a look around, turned to the Aggie and said "cute". Aggie's still pissed.

The first time my husband(a Texas grad) took me to Darrell Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium several years ago, I just looked at him and said, "Oh, how quaint......"

I'm a proud Vol for life from Knoxville TN born and raised and I have relocated for a career in Houston TX. I would love to know of any groups who get together to watch anything to do with the Vols. hit me up at govolsfraz@yahoo . com

I am in Corpus Christi. Unfortunately, like most of the state, it's Longhorn country. Have yet to meet a single other Vol fan down here. San Antonio is close enough to drive in the Fall if any Vol fans are getting together to watch the games.

Down south near Corpus Christi here. Got stationed here almost a year ago. I'm guessing south texas isn't one of the bright spots of this state.....

I'm from outside of nashville. I live here in coppell, tx, right beside irving and lewisville now and I hate texas. It's too flat and there aren't enough trees. I still don't know what the big deal is about texas after living here now for almost a year and a half. It SUCKS! There is a place you can go to watch tennessee games on saturdays. It's called 1st BASE. There is alot of tennessee alum that go there and pay to watch the games. Been there a couple times. It's in frisco which is north of dallas. As far as teaxas fans in dallas, there seems to be more a&m and tech fans here than actual texas fans. I have to constantly remind texas fans who THE REAL UT IS!!!!!!!! They need a history lesson.

Coppell's a nice area, my office was in Coppell when I worked there in '02...

Ive enjoyed it here so far. Met some nice folks, tons of people which I like. Tacos in Oak Cliff Wooot!! May check out a game at this place in Frisco during the season. Going to the FC Dallas game Saturday.

For those in the Dallas area: Knoxville's own Scott Miller (formerly of the Viceroys) is playing at the AllGood Cafe in Deep Ellum tonight.

I'll be there.

Place looks cool. Like going to Austin without having to pass through Waco is hilarious. My plans got changed due to current transition. Cheers.
