I did not see a thread dedicated to keeping up with our players’ games. Please merge with the Vols in NBA if that’s for the best.

Feel free to help me keep up with the games if you don’t already see a post for the day, but I’ll start off by posting some links to the box scores to show what I’m looking to do with this thread. Also, help me if I missed someone from TN, please.

Yesterday’s scores: Wednesday July, 17

Santiago Vescovi (Warriors)
13 minutes - 2 pts, 3 rebounds, 2 assists

Dalton Knecht (Lakers)
DNP - Coach’s decision

Today’s games: Thursday July, 18

Josiah Jordan James (Pacers)
3:30 PM on ESPN2

Dalton Knecht (Lakers)
8:00 PM on ESPN

Former Vol / Summer League Team

Jordan Bowden / Atlanta Hawks
Kennedy Chandler / Portland Trail Blazers
Josiah Jordan James / Indiana Pacers
Keon Johnson / Brooklyn Nets
Dalton Knecht / Los Angelas Lakers
Jaden Springer / Boston Celtics
Santiago Vescovi / Golden State Warriors

Hope this doesn’t get merged - it’s a nice quick reference. 👍🏻

Dude, Bronny rocking 13 pts! That's 45 in non-nepotism stats. This breakout will dominate social media for a month.

I watched Bowden and Phillips both score well in the Atlanta-Chicago game tonight.

Man, I keep missing the games they get quality minutes in. I like that the coaches really rotate the lineups every other day, but I really want to see how Bowden plays in the pros. Turner’s shoulder injury and early exit really left Bowden in a bad position as the only scorer his senior year.

The only game on cable is Jordan Bowden with the Hawks. He played 20 minutes last night, so there’s a good chance he won’t be getting minutes today.

If you have ESPN+ or NBA TV:

Knecht’s Lakers will be playing Phillips’s Bulls at 6.

JoJo James’s Pacers will play against TN transfer DJ Burns and Cleveland Cavs

I can’t help but follow Burns, it seems. I was telling people about this fat kid that could score for NC State and turns out he went to TN originally. I turned the tv on a few days ago and there he was again in the NBA.

Knecht won't be playing tonight. There holding a couple players out tonight including Bronny. No injuries though.

Bowden scored 18 against the Bulls and he should make an NBA G League roster somewhere this upcoming season.

The summer league and G league is dumb because they don’t play against the competition of NBA starters. What are teams actually evaluating?

College and overseas pro ball is dumb because they don't play against the competition of NBA starters. What are teams actually evaluating?

Following morning edit: Apologies to @Dougie_D, I didn't need to be snarky last night. It was 130am and we lost power at my house so I am sleeping on the floor of my parents house while my kids and wife sleep in the bed haha. I was grumpy.

College players play with college players . Overseas pro ball play with overseas pro ball.
The G league players play with G league players.
The summer league players play with summer league players. Why aren’t NBA STARTERS playing in the summer league?
My point is that there isn’t much movement in becoming a NBA starter. If you Ike the NBA all these leagues don’t get you much

Starters like Wembanyama play in the summer league before they play in the NBA. All the healthy lottery picks played this year. Coaches want to see their players from college and overseas on an NBA floor with the different spacing, alongside young veterans. The results of the game don't matter much but it's nice to get them on the floor before the rest of the team comes back.
