Vols in Dallas?

Any Vol fans in Dallas? I accepted a job in Dallas after I graduate in May. I start in July. Never been to Dallas and don't know much about the area, but looking forward to it.

What company, and where in Dallas are you moving? Pretty cool city, lots of stuff to do.

I live in the 'burbs between Dallas and Ft. Worth. My family and I really like it out here.

As a young single (?) guy, you should find lots of fun stuff to do in Dallas.

Thanks Vader... my first 6 months of training will be in Mesquite, and then more than likely in Plano. I am currently looking at The Village as a place to live though the rent is a little pricy. It seems to be a good location where a lot of young people live.

I live in Dallas in the Park Cities, and that's a great place to look. Dallas is a fun city, but be prepared for UT Orange to mean Texas Longhorns in these parts. You get used to it. We usually go to Buffalo Wild Wings on Lemmon Ave to watch the Vols.

I will look in the Park Cities. I'll definitely need somewhere to watch the Vols games. Any other advice on Dallas?

There's lots of great Mexican restaurants, as you might imagine. My favorites are Mi Cocina $$$ (best margarita), Taco Diner $$, Mario's $. Bar-B-Que is good at Dickey's and Sonny B's. Specs is the place to buy your liquor, most other places are expensive. Go biking or jogging on the Katy Trail when you get there, you'll find cool places along the way.

The DF/W UT Alumni Association meets at a restaurant/bar called 3rd Base in Frisco next to the Stonebriar Mall. We usually have some awesome crowds for football games in the fall. Though they tanked to levels I've never seen once this past season started downhill.

Welcome to Texas! Moved out here 2 years ago from CA and would never dream of moving back.

It has everything me and the fiancé could ever possibly want!

3rd Base in Frisco is definitely the hot spot for Vol fans, but I suppose it all depends on where you decide to move to.
