so i was flipping through the channels and came upon a canadian football league game between toronto and winnipeg...just so happens that the first name i heard the announcers say was jonathon hefney. i always liked him when he played for us even though he didn't really live up to his potential, and it made me wonder how many other vols might be playing ball north of the border, so i'm starting this thread so that we can discuss those good players who didn't quite make it into the league.

Jonathan Brown is on the injured list for Toronto, Jermaine Copeland plays for Calgary, Demonte' Bolden plays for Edmonton, Albert Toeaina also plays for Edmonton. Grew up there, followed the CFL a bit, it's a lot faster game, being three downs and all. Those are the only guys I could find on the CFL website

Kinda sobering that we are now paying attention to who we are putting into the CFL.

I've been to a Japanese bar in Kariya City, Japan ran by a Japanese guy affectionately named "Howard"...His bar is ALL VOL with Jack Daniels as the house drink thanks to Denso hosting many Vols from Maryville, Jackson and Athens, Tennessee in Japan over the years.

Its pretty cool to find a joint in Japan that resembles a joint on the strip.

Off topic but just to share

How is Graham Harrell in the CFL with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and not the NFL??? This guy threw for 6 or 7 miles half of which were without Crabtree.

I'd say it's because the guys that preceded him at Texas Tech put up absurd numbers and then did nothing in the pros.
