Vols Hold On to Down Ball State, 9-7

After giving up a three-spot in the top of the first, Tennessee answered with seven unanswered runs over the first three innings, pulled away in the middle innings thanks to the bat and arm of Drew Steckenrider and then held on late as it defeated Ball State, 9-7, on Wednesday night at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Ball State showed why they are a 2 win team. Lead in the first inning but then the Vols scored 7 unanswered runs in the next innings.

In their 9th win the Vols score 9 runs. Vols continue to beat the teams they should.
