I heard it here all week last week. There's no way we can beat Georgia, CBJ can't coach his way outta a wet paper sack, and a lot more garbage... ***NEWS FLASH*** Tennessee can beat ANYBODY! That's the beautiful thing about college football. Any one can win on any given Saturday. If not, why even watch? Alabama isn't Alabama of old. So don't decide the game before it's played... Here we come Tuscaloosa... Get ready.

Heard the same thing last week. Bet Ole Miss heard it too!
yep, i'm sure they did. and if we are +5 on turnover ratio like they were, then i think we have a real shot.

we just don't win games like this right now. it would be a great make up game for the FL game though.

but we don't just line up and beat Bama straight up. i do think we present some match up issues for them with Dobbs' legs, but not enough to win the game.

defensively, we don't tackle well, and that doesn't bode well for a guy like Henry who is human dump truck. our margin for error is very small, whereas Bama can probably afford a few mistakes and over come them.

not trying to be debbie downer. i like the positivity!! i just don't buy it.....

The key to beating Alabama is pressuring Coker he will make alot of mistakes if we do and that puts our dbs one on one.

And yes we have to tackle Henry. Wrap up and hang on.

fournette gets the pub...but Henry is a beast in his own right. dude is strong.

i do agree, if there were ever a game to get a pass rush, it's this one. pressure on coker would help.

Never say never, but we probably get burned at least twice by long passes to Ridley or missed tackles vs Henry. If we can overcome that, we got a puncher's chance.

Bama has trouble with running threat qb's. Dobbs needs a whole game like he had against UGA.

Wide receivers need to step up.

Ole Miss put a lot of heat on the qb. Robert Nkemdiche wreaked havoc on Bama's QB. How many times did we get to Lambert? I know Barnett nabbed him once, but I can't remember any other times.

If we can't tackle Henry, or stop the long ball, we are in for a long game. I figured seeing how we would do against Chubb would be a good indication of how we would do against Henry. (Un)Fortunately we didn't get to witness that.

The week off helps us. Bama is at getting us at the end of a tough 4 game streak. I haven't watched much of them this season, but will get a chance to watch them against TAM. Hope its a grueling game going into 7 overtimes!!

Kiffin nearly beat them a few years ago when no one gave the Vols a chance and the talent gap has narrowed considerably.

Anything can happen.

I am worried that Kiffin may eat Jancek's lunch the way this season has played out on defense so far though.

So do I, pt. I agree with you completely and will add that Mister MacKenzie needs to evolve some more over these next two weeks, particularly since Shy's out.

OP. I'm with you. Lots of us VNers are, so don't mind the usual suspects; those who can't help but fart in the "UP" elevator.

TF: OP's fishing for likes and you're not? alexbond nailed you there.

1standgoal: I'd say he's drinking orange juice with some good ol' Tennessee whiskey...most likely Jack Daniels.

jakez4ut: OP said can and not will.
Hopefully Coach DeBo can spend extra time this extra week and maybe in the booth again and outsmart Smart. Gotta' stay more than just one step ahead of these guys. Yes, VN. UT CAN!
