Most points ever scored by a Tennessee team. I know Lemoyne-Owen is no SEC team, but it's hard to put up 126 points on anyone.
My take on the game: The team looked better than I expected. There are going to be alot of battles for positions. JuJuan Smith was top scorer with 22 and looked like he has improved his game since last season. Tony Passley was the biggest suprise for me. He played very well around the basket and in transition. Ramar started slow but, man is he quick and very unselfish with the ball. Crews and Chism played well also with some nice dunks. Crews had one play where he blocked a shot on one end and sprinted upcourt to recieve a pass for an easy one-handed dunk. Tennessee for most of the game played about 11 players. Our perimeter looks leaps and bounds above where we were with last year's team. Looks to be an exciting season!

I counted a 10 man rotation.

Ramar Smith is overrated.

Marques Johnson and Josh Tabb are underrated.

Your'e right, Johnson and Tabb are underrated. They both played well tonight. I thought Ramar started slow but showed some flashes of what his potential could be.

The NCAA rendered exhibition games completely worthless when they banned playing foreign teams or traveling squads. These games against NAIA or D-II schools are an utter waste of time. Pearl should have followed the lead of Bob Huggins and Tom Crean and played a scrimmage against another D-I school. That would have been worthwhile.

It is one exhibition game. LOL.

And they are freshmen.

I am not even talking about the exhibition game. I didnt say somebody was an all-american. I said who was overrated and underrated. Those terms refer to the fact that R. Smith had high rankings and lots of fanfare, but yet M. Johnson and J. Tabb are much better than anticipated. I have seen them practice a number of times. That is where my evaluation comes from.

I'm glad that Jujuan Smith is showing some signs of improvement. He's a great story.

How did Lofton do tonight? Make any decent 3's?

Lofton scored 10. 1-3 from from three point land. Really didn't have to step up and score considering the team spread the scoring around.

I went to the game, and Lofton really didn't try to do much. JaJuan Smith, Childress, and really everyone seems to have improved over last year.

Passley is a player.

By the way, Ramar Smith isn't overrated. He didn't really look to score much at all tonight. He looked to pass first most of the time. But when he decided he wanted to score, he easily was able to drive to the basket.

What did everyone see in Passley that impressed you so much?
