I don't doubt for a minute that an opposing coach will use it against us next year during recruiting. I've said it numerous times in other threads but I'm gonna say it again, spin it how you want its still wrong.

If the kid had some character issues you can bet your ass that someone would have already reported it and it would be all over the net. Griffin would be all over it.

If Kiffin is such a good evaluator of talent, will someone please tell me why or how he couldn't tell that this kid didn't "fit" weeks ago?

Silent comments? Give me a break.

There is no justification for doing this to that kid. He could have been "honest" with him weeks ago.

For the record I'm not anti Kiffin, I just think he handled this situation very badly.

I hope Kiffin knows what the hell he's doing. If the kids he's throwing away do good somewhere else or the guys he picks up to take their places bomb, he could look a little silly with egg on his face. Again, I really hope he knows what he's doing.

This was a mistake by kiffin , you dont tell a kid who has been with you from day one , and never wavered hes not the right fit 5 days before signing day. Especially on his official visit why not just tell him before he came. I like kiffin but this is a classless move unless there is a character issue which I dont think is the case.I know recruiting is cut throat but , the kid wanted to come here and was loyal and its just not right to do him like that.I hope he gets a good offer i feel bad for him.

I think this is a problem only if continues in future seasons(which won't happen IMHO). This does suck for DT though. I hope he comes and proves Kiff wrong.

well we dont know what happened so all we can do is speculate. I feel confident CLK knows what he is doing. The kid could have said something that the staff didnt like. who knows?????

The kid has been tossed to the side and people are making excuses for the coach..lol .. If you went back and read the post you would honestly think there was a leak from someone that he had character issues.. Wow I'm glad it isn't my son.. Can someone show me a link that say anything even close to the young man having Charater issues? He is even wanting to run track too.. One of the main reason's he choose UT was because of the academics and his mother liked UT.. I guess we will claim his mother had character issues too???? Here is an article that sound like he had a pretty good attitude, but I guess it is just a bunch of junk (for the lack of a better word) due to fact that our coach walks on water..
