The Vols are in big trouble this year. Last year was one of the luckiest seasons I've ever seen an SEC team have. How many times did the vols get outplayed only to catch some big breaks and win? South Carolina absolutely dominated that game, but the Vols lucked out on the missed field goal. Vandy should have beaten the vols. That Kentucky game could have gone either way. The games against Florida and Bama showed what a horrendus defense the Vols had last year. This year the vols will go 4-4 in the conference with losses to Florida, Georgia, Auburn, and South Carolina.

Pssh, The Gators and Bulldogs won't even finish in the top 25 while the Vols are busy winning the National Championship!

You know, we were predicted to finish fourth by most of the press last year also.

I normally cheer for the SEC teams when they play out of conference, but I'm starting to feel like I could be a 'Canes fan for a week this season.

Luck is a team taking advantage of an opportunity given by the other team. There is no such team as luck. Teams make their own luck.

USCjr did not dominate us the whole game. It was 21-0 at halftime and Cut/Fulmer pulled the reigns like they did every 2nd half last year.

UT should have beat UK, but we pulled the reigns towards the end of the game and let them come back.

Vandy we just played horrible till the end of the game.

I've heard alot of big talk on this board and i just flat don't understand how you could think the vols are strong enough to beat out FL and UGa

At least you have us beating the Tide. Many think we will go 5-3, but I think we will go at least 6-2. Mississippi State is also going to be a tough game with Bama and those you mentioned but we have a lot of experience back and we will be much better this year than last year on defense.

Well luck does play apart of the game. How soon you forget. It was a blocked fieldgoal that kept the Gators run to the title alive. I think it was the Gamecocks game. Maybe you want to rethink you post.

I am willing to bet UT's defense was a hell of a lot better than UF's by the end of last year. It must have felt good to get prgressively worse as the year went on. And South Carolina did not absolutly dominate UT in that game, if you watched the first half. Also Tennessee frequently has close games with UK and Vandy yet 95% of the time we win. So its not like we get lucky every time. I hope your Gators come to Neyland with your same mindset....could be in for a surprise. Pleasant trolling

Well, we've been strong enough to demolish UGA the last 2 years. Also, UT vs UF is always a close game, except for last year. You will not score that many points next year. I doubt you score over 25.

Atleast we won our bowl game.

Ya, bama i'll give you, and i think Crompton is actually going to be decent, but that running game has been nonexistent lately and that is the fault of an o-line that can't run block.

not once, we were in every game, unlike UT

With one notable exception. UT was the only team from the SEC East that actually participated in the SEC Championship Game....you know...the one they play in the Georgia Dome in December.

Yeah, we ran the ball less often last year than we have since forever and Foster still had 1,200 yards.

they give those out when you win the national title. Remember those?

witty.

We'll be getting another in due course.

Seriously though, how's the knee? I hear they prescribe marijuana and gunplay for that at Shands.
