i was two years old when this game was played...but i still watched every second of it today bc of Chuck Webb. Wow he was amazing!

Chuck Webb is such a beast. I would put him right behind Walker and Jackson in the all time great Sec Rbs.

not to mention the injury came against a 55-7 rout of pacific. i just did a search on google and found basically nothing on him.

Yes, its sad because alot of people have never heard of him. He's hardly ever discussed as one of the great Sec backs. Most people think Lewis was our best back, but in reality its Webb. He's very underrated.

Try thevib.com and go to history and click the great vol Rbs. There is a picture of him there. I don't think that picture will work though.

thanks that's one. but some other guy has that in his profile already :ermm: at least there are some more chuck webb fans out there though

I think most Vol fans over the age of 30 know how good Webb was.

no doubt. i remember the beginning of the 89 bama game. i can't recall his name, but the bama linebacker commented that he would be in webb's face all day. first play of the game, webb ran up the middle and ran right over him. that was funny as hell.
