We finally got ourselves an offensive guru. Thank God! Can't help but think if Fulmer had hired Lane Kiffin instead of a defensive guru with no head coach experience as Johnny Majors was advocating, that would be the score this year. Kiffin knew every thought in Nick Sabin's head and would have given him fits coaching the Vols. Given that the SEC had 7 teams in the top 30 in defensive rating the previous year and no offensive genius in the conference, what could have been with Mississippi tied with Bama for the Western Conference lead this year. Our new coach will get us there in a couple of years.

So you think Kiffin would have scored 52 on Bama with this roster, yet could only score 31 on us and 21 on Bama with his deeper and more talented Ole Miss offense?

OK

If he had been recruiting during the Pruitt years, I can only imagine what the roster would look like now. That's twice as long as he has been at Ole Miss. In two years at Florida Atlantic he won 2 Conference USA championships finishing 8th nationally in Scoring offense and total offense his first year and 14th nationally the second. Half of Vol Nation wanted him to come back but Fulmer prevailed over Majors. He will take the west from Sabin in the next two years IMO. Heupel is very similar and in a couple of years it would not be surprising to see Tennessee and Ole Miss in the SEC championship game.

Half of VN did not want him to come back. Plus, taking him back after what he pulled here the first time would’ve been more embarrassing than the mustard bottles and golf balls

If Fulmer had hired Kiffin, he’d be trying to get the LSU job just like he’s trying to at Ole Miss. The guy will always be looking for the next job & screwing who he can along the way. If he’s offered LSU, he’s gone.

Flush this turd! Wish he would go away. Guess we will meet him again when he jumps ship to LSU.
