So according to this bullish!!, the only way Clemson can claim a national title is to go undefeated. 1 lost for them and Ohio State wins the title without playing a game. That sounds about right.

When the season starts—if the season starts—the Buckeyes and 53 other Bowl Subdivision teams will no longer be eligible for inclusion in the Top 25 because they have postponed their seasons to the spring.

How are they going to include teams from conferences that aren’t playing this year? The only thing I can think of is they are going to include who they were originally ranking, wait until the winter/spring season is complete, and have a final poll whenever they finish that season. The only way that works though is those PAC-12 and Big 10 teams would have to stay in their currently ranked position until the winter/spring season starts. You can’t be moving teams up in the poll if they aren’t playing in the fall.

So they have 9 B10/Pac12 teams which means we're technically 16th. Win our first 2 and with some help top 10 is very realistic. Seems crazy, tho.

Really, how so? Most pundits say we have one of the 2-3 best offensive lines in the SEC this year. Two quality running backs and tons of untapped potential at wide receiver. Six senior defensive linemen, with talented youngsters in back up roles, and I don't know when we've had so many quality defensive backs.

Sounds like the AP is using the same methodology the NCAA uses in their waiver process.
