What is says about commits:

Previous rank: NR
As the temperatures have heated up, so has Tennessee's recruiting. The Vols have built the majority of their class in July, adding players like ESPNU 150 wide receiver Drae Bowles (Jackson, Tenn./Jackson Christian) and four-star defensive end LaTroy Lewis (Akron, Ohio/Archbishop Hoban). In July, they also added a pair of high three-star outside linebackers in Otha Peters (Covington, La./Covington) and Justin King (Dunwoody, Ga./Dunwoody) to join four-star Khalid Henderson (Mableton, Ga./Pebblebrook), a four-star OLB who committed to the Vols in June.

I looked at thr Rival ranking and we are nowhere to be seen. What's up with that--their ranking are bogus

I remember seeing that they had done an update on 08/03...but now that one is not listed...I remember it had us "on the cusp"

It would appear they rethought that one and placed us in the top 25 sometime today...and it doesn't appear that they have counted Santos either

It says they updated today. So it had to be before Santos committed, but I do remember a couple days ago we weren't in the top 25 like you said.

you do know that you'd probably be saying the same thing about ESPN if the current rankings of them and Rivals were reversed...

I'm trying to be a realist on this class. With the amount of big nasties they're going after and the fact that those guys aren't typically the highest rated guys out there, I'm thinking Top 15-20 would be a solid class this year for Dooley.

I'm not sure where the comment about the big uglies originated but you're not the only one that believes that...it is however categorically false...

Look at the ESPN 150 or Rivals 250...there are big uglies all over it
