Vols #24 in AP Poll - Week 2

I’m not saying this to assume we’ll beat Florida because that’s dumb, but I think we would have absolutely drilled Utah. They looked slow and soft to me.

I could tell in the first couple of series that Florida was just more athletic. Not a surprise to me considering that Utah generally is ranked around #50 in the nation every year. They just didn't have the horses and still almost won.

They definitely looked better than advertised. #12 better? No.

I think this is a result of Florida beating Utah who was ranked #7 last week. Problem is Utah doesn’t look like a Top 20 team.
Exactly. The number 7 team in the country doesn’t come out of the red zone that many times without points. Florida got bailed out, by refs, by Utah. Overrated.

To me Florida definitely earned a top 20 ranking. 12…? That’s a bit high for me, but, I can make it make sense bc of utahs ranking at the time. I would think somewhere aroun 15-20 would be appropriate… but obviously I have no bias. Either way, hats off to the gators for taking that game. Hard fought and hard won. None of us know how the season will progress, so we’ll just have to sit back and see what happens. Thank the Lord football is back.

Utah should have dropped further and UF jumping from unranked to 12 is absurd. Seems like the pollsters don't want to admit that they over-rated The Utes

Tennessee at 24 is fine. Now just beat Pitt.
They are always so desperate to have these non SEC in the conversation. And they hang on until the end.

Others of Note:
FLA #12
Pitt #17
KY #20
I am very interested to see how Kentucky will fair against Florida. Kentucky didn't look particularly great, and Florida was incredibly lucky to win at all. Florida doesn't have a whole lot going for them outside of Richardson, but he's an incredible talent. Kentucky actually has some SEC level athletes on defense though, so we'll see if they can limit Richardson better than Utah could.

I hope Florida gets ranked higher by the time we play them...and win, hopefully we can get them out of our heads for once, and learn to contain a running qb that's what about 230-240 lbs.
Anyone know the fatest qb that's played...Jared Lorenzen?? r.i.p. wasn't he well over 260

Things are shaping up if we can win those games...... Pitt; Florida; & Kentucky.

One game at a time, though.....

I have no idea what that is...but Utah still in top 10 after losing to Fla?

From Late Kick Live, pretty good show on YouTube. It’s based on a computer model.

Regardless, I don’t think barely losing on the road at FL after the first game should drop them that far.

Does it really matter what Florida is ranked? Good for them. They will have to prove it like other teams ranked high or ranked at all. Is A&M really the #6 team in the country? They sure didn't look like it but they too will have to prove it like every other team. Fifty percent of the poll rankings looks suspect to me.

For anyone that has ESPN+, there is an article with a headline ".......How good is Tennessee?......".

Someone should provide a synopsis.
