We rose one spot in the coaches' poll, from #21 last week to #20 today.
We dropped five positions in the AP poll, from #16 last week. But that's actually a nice accomplishment, since we were #25 a few weeks ago before they took out the B10 and PAC...and we're up a net 4 spots today after those teams have been reinserted.
#20-#21 seems about right to me, for now. We'll hopefully clean up our execution nicely by the Mizzou game, then clean it up even more and pull the upset against UGa in two weeks. If we do that, we'll see a nice little bounce up into the top 15, maybe even top 12. Tall order, though. We need to get our stuff figured out much faster than UGa does.

In other poll moves:
- Florida is up to #3 after a nice opening game for them (up 2 spots from #5)
- Ohio State reenters the poll at #6 after a "we're not playing" absence. In the pre-season, they were #2, so this is a net loss of four spots for the Buckeyes. Probably a combo of (a) losing some opt-out starters, (b) potential for having atrophied with the off-again / on-again uncertainty, and (c) only having 8+1 games to prove they deserve a spot in the CFB--with no bye weeks as padding for covid cancellations.
- Oklahoma fell a whopping 15 spots to #18 after their embarrassing loss to K State. LSU fell almost as hard, down 14 spots to #20.
- A&M lost 3 positions to #13 in spite of winning their game. Guess the voters weren't impressed with how they soft-handed Vandy.
