Solid read. Love the reactions of the team on practicing that play and the execution. Pretty great that Henry T and others were just as surprised as the Indiana team when it happened

Man it's refreshing... We went from the ultra conservative coach who would play not to lose games and go by charts, to an actual coach who knows how to make in-game adjustments and to see weaknesses to exploit and to play to win the game. (Onside kicks and going for it on 4th downs). This win was 100% on coaching, compared to putting the game 100% on Dobbs' back and hoping he could win you the game.

Dobbs? I knew they would find a way to sneak him into the game somehow. :)

I wish we had Dobbs last nite! That being said, it was a big W, ugly though, just like the season. We got revenge on vandy. Now bring on a couple of other boys. They might be squirming in the seats now

Brooks: I didn’t do that (squib) much in high school, but since I’ve been here I’ve worked it a ton. Sometimes in practice it’s not always perfect. Sometimes I hit it short. I hit it long. But I just go in the (indoor facility) and rep it and get it perfect and execute it with full confidence.
We rep it every time we do kickoff periods in practice. We rep it a lot, that’s why I felt really good about it. So when (Pruitt) called it, I just said, ‘Ok. I’m prepared for it.’

This makes me happy!

We were talking OSK when we lined up. I said "why are they not in OSK coverage". I called it but didn't really believe it with 4 minutes and our D playing well. Give up a FG there and we lose. But, wow, they pulled it off to perfection. This falls under the "Closed Portion of Practice" in Fingers reports.

Anyone know the number of a
onside kicks we attempted this year? That's our first recovery, yes?
