Wow, my own thread. Check's in the mail Larkin. :)

Seriously, I'm not worried about damage to the forum or anything like that. It's a message board. Part of the usefulness of message boards is to have a place to discuss rumors and speculation. I'm refreshing the threads some nights just like everybody else.

My goal, considering the number of texts and emails I've received, was just to put my take out there, for whatever it's worth.

Good write up. Hey Freak, did you get that email I sent you? I heard that Gruden has land in Tennessee. Oh well, I will just send you a text about it. :crazy::crazy::p

Ok here it is nobodys asking. Lets say the rumors are true. Dooley gets fired, Gruden comes to Tennessee. Gruden isn't the football god some of you think he is. Fails miserbly. What now? Do we spend the next decade looking for "The One" ?

Well you have to pick a replacement and who better than a coach every big name school who needs a new coach wants. Better than settling for another cheap gamble.

That's how it works. You hire the best available and if it doesn't work out, you go find the next hire. You know kind of like you do in any job.
