Just remember, we're taking some momentum into this game..
We scored 28 points in the second half of our last game and Bama scored 0

Go Vols...

Yes, I'm done getting my hope up only to repeatedly have them squashed. As a Tennessee fan, I regretfully am resigned to setting my expectations low so that the pain sets in gradually over time rather than hitting me like a ton of bricks over a 3 hour span. If we win, fantastic, but I'm prepared for an embarrassment. The consolation prize is that we are 1 step closer to a new regime that might breathe some life into our dying program.

I don't necessarily like feeling this way, but I'm doing it for my sanity.

Go Vols.

Dude, you are an embarrassment. Grow some grapes and want the win.

Someone needs to learn the difference between wanting to win, and expecting to win. With the exception of a few strange individuals we all want to win, but many of us just don't expect to win.

The past ten years with CPF at the helm, has made many good Vol fans feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football with Lucy as the holder. Too many big games against rivals are snatched away by lousy coaching.

Man, this Bruce to Arizona thing is hard. Roundball has not started, I have not even factored in The Pearl being sought at other programs. When it rains it pours, please stay in Knoxville Mr. Pearl!!!!

I don't know whats going to happen in this game we may win we may lose, we may get killed we may win big it may come down to a late field goal one way or the other, but we don't need to forget that it doesn't matter what happens in this game that bama will always suck !!!! my 2 cents.

Comparing Americans in combat to Phil Fulmer is so insulting that it doesn't deserve a reply. FYI, I was in Desert Shield / Storm. Unless you've been in Iraq, and I don't know that you haven't...but if you haven't, you have no right to make that comparison.

Fact is, there is no comparison.

What a chickens**t response.

Thanks for cheapening the sacrifice of those who gave their life on foreign soil.

I urge you to share those words with any veteran you meet. See what he or she has to say to you.

Don't bother responding. You're already on my ignore list.

Its just an analogy and in no way a comparison of football to combat...I'll change it so you'll get your panites out of a wad...BTW...I'm a proud veteran.

Lets say you're racing at Talladega and can't stand the pit crew chief or agree with him on anything. Do you pit early, sacrifice your team, wave a white flag and eat your points loss? Or do you drive with everything you've got IN SPITE of the pit crew chief? Just asking.

No offense to NASCAR...goof!

You might want to change this to "be defeated"...Others may take offense and make all kinds of insane, ridiculous remarks.

Reading comprehension, it's a good thing.

Exactly where did he say he didn't want the win?

He merely said he is resigned to expecting defeat with the current regime. I feel the same way. Sure, I want to win, but after the UCLA debacle this year, apathy has set in.
