What the hell happened here. I fall aleep for a couple hours and all hell breaks loose. BigPapaVol bout to throw down with Coach Fulmers son, we are in an Alabama newspaper, and somewhere in the middle someone got some consultation on staying in school.

Anyway $20 on BPV.

As a matter of fact I have, but you do know that was 56 years ago correct? I think most of the college football world has probably forgotten about those years.
but you're on here portraying yourself as a pious Vol fan. surely you haven't forgotten.

I haven't :)

Dude, I remember back in 1928, when Gene McEver ran back the kickoff for a TD against Alabama on the first play. Good times.

be wary. Most never find their way back.

Next thing you know you're saying something like:

"thing about these High Schools girls, I keep gettin' older, but they stay the same age."

Yeah, it's pretty cool to me that I avoided being a statistic.

Dickens, do the damn thing

And the current college football world has forgotten about our beloved Volunteers. Do you know what the current records are against Meyer, Tubberville, Miles, Spurrier, Richt and Saban?

No if you go back and read my statements I have said all along that most people have forgotten our history since 1973. My point is that most either aren't old enough to remember those times or chose to forget.

72 was Battle's last good year and we didn't win on a consistent basis until 1993, except for that three year stretch that Majors had in the late eighties.

To me, it's not that were losing. It's how were losing.

people aren't asking for consistent high finishes. What I keep hearing over and over is that 10 years is too freaking long without the SEC Title.

the embarrassing nature of the drubbings is a huge problem for me. competitive games, you'll hear less from me. I'll still wanna win, but I'll also have some confidence that we can play with the guys we're supposed to play with.

I've never said I didn't think a change was needed. The game has probably passed Fulmer by some what. I just have a hard time treating a man that has given his life to this University with disrespect. He doesn't need the money, he's got more than he can spend in his life time. Maybe he's hanging on because of ego, most people that know him say different. UT football is all he knows. I'm just not ready to throw him under the bus.

He gave us a National Championship that I never thought I would see in my life time. When we won I told my wife that I could die happy now.

I just want some inspired football. More than anything I want a defensive unit that is feared. Class, respect, inegrity, sportsmanship all overrated. I want offenses coming into Neyland actually wondering if they are going to be able to walk off the field that night. I don't mean that from players trying to dive at knees, and such, I mean that from players just ripping heads, laying wood.

You can get by with a average offense. It's hard, very hard to get by with an average defense.

I would just like to see some adjustments. You know, where when the other team starts doing something successful so you change it up.
