Volnation from Beginning to Present

For those of us who haven’t been around so long, what does this mean?

Sorry bro, just saw this. And I forget what the exact argument was but Doug Atkins was in a "keyboard war" with someone on here and said something along the lines of "get your posts nited, or dont post at all." Per usual volnation ran with it and that meme was born for about a year. So @MemphisVol77 had it spot on.

Also, it took me 4 or 5 double takes at the handles to realize you didn't answer yourself 🤣🤣🤣

Welcome messages 😊
Wish we could see the posts from the original sight that was up for a couple of months before this one. We all had to re-register on a new server and I can’t for the life of me remember what my name was lol.

I came into hail nation (lol) when all the fire fulmer stuff was going on. I think I found a site that said fire fulmer.com that led me to VolNation. It’s been fun really looking back. Some of my attacking was unwarranted as were some of my attacks. Early on it seemed like a battle daily. Now I have tendencies to ignore more so than not.

Wilks, Bain posts were awesome.

Any time 0 star General posted it was gold.

Schiano Sunday was wild.

Grumors and MIT Beaver nugs. Lovie's plane never landing.

This place was fired up after Dooley's loss to Kentucky.

The list of reasons we were gonna whip Georgia's azz when Richt and Dooley were coaches may be my favorite post of all time.

When Skeeter nugs dropped we all lost our minds with excitement.

I always thought those old SECRant forums just prior to volnation were really entertaining, as well

I was only a lurker at the time, but one of my earliest memories was of the thread that announced that David Cutcliffe was leaving (again) to take the head coaching job at Duke in 2007. I don't remember the name of the poster, but somebody predicted that with Cutcliffe leaving, and losing Ainge, the bottom would fall out of the offense and Fulmer would be fired "well before the end of the season."

Everybody threw tomatoes at the guy .... but he nailed it. Fulmer was fired in 2008, with 3 games left.

That wasn't an easy prediction at all. Tennessee lost a close SEC Championship Game to LSU in 2007, and finished with 10 wins. Fulmer got a raise.

Wait, was Logan Young paying players and sleeping with players, or was TennesseeStud? This is insane

If it was Logan Young doing it, then why do people dislike TennesseeStud? I am confused as to who the villain was in all this
Google is your friend

You're talking about Gridscape with Jumpmaster in charge

Before I joined and was just lurking, the late Hatvol made what might have been the best post in the history of the board. After Arian Foster had yet another fumble disaster against, I believe UCLA in 2008, he posted, “Foster: It’s Australian for fumble.” I still haven’t come across a better post in the nearly 20 years since.

I remember when “Tacos’ “
Mom posted here.

TCHFCATUTK..

Then why is TennesseeStud a controversial figure amongst Vol fans? Was Logan Young doing more than just giving money to those players in West TN?
Roy Adams (Tenn Stud) was a rather Flamboyant personality. He wore a coonskin cap & orange blazer to all UT alumni events & Memphis Touchdown Club meetings. He was also very boisterous about the Saturday Football parties he’d host for evidently a very large crowd at his home. A lot of fans from all teams questioned his stories he’d post here on Memphis recruiting but, in the end, he got the last laugh as practically everything he posted turned out to be true.

Chuck McCollum (sp?) was the king pin, jump provided both info and oversight. There were a couple more key moderators. Jump was in the armed services overseas a lot if my aging memory is close.

I earlier asked if anyone could provide date ranges on the key boards.

Anybody recall the posters involved in settling their differences by agreeing to meet in the Waffle House parking lot? One of our all time high points on Vol Nation that and soon for Gruden as well.

How do you know any of this?
It’s common knowledge among the old heads and the local law enforcement in the area. Not to mention Stud himself used to come on the message boards and brag about it. Why do you think he chose the name Stud?
