Please post your age in this thread. I am interested in seeing how the age of a poster relates to the type of outlook they have on the program.

Also, post either " For" or "against" the current coaching staff. Please explain why for either answer. I will begin

37 years old

For- I am for the staff for the main reason is they are all we have at this point. If they succeed, then UT Football succeeds and thats the ultimate goal. I believe we should be reasonable and give the man a chance to do his best and be behind him. If he doesnt show improvement in the next 3 years, then we should look at our options then. We cannot continue to shift gears and replace coaching staffs every other year. The problems will only get worse if we jump the gun and be impatient. This whole process was years in the making and it will take years for us to get out of this mess. It will not happen overnight. If and when things do not improve, I will call for Dooleys head, just as I did for Fulmers. Go Vols!!

For- I am for UT regardless of the head coach, jersey color, president, or AD. Would I have liked to have seen a brighter start chosen? sure. However, Dooley is our guy and I'm behind him and want to see him do well. I'm not super confident he will but I'll root for him non the less. So I am "for" our coach winning because UT wins when he does. I would back another coach if I thought we could win more with him.

For- Going into this season, we all knew it was going to be ugly. Nobody likes to lose and I get that, but there is way too many people being irrational about the coaches and players. This coaching staff took over a very depleted Vol team and these players have been through a lot as well. Give these guys some time to get some more players as well as more time for the players to pick up on the new coaches. We will be fine in the long run, but we have to start somewhere and that somewhere is now. These kids have played great given the circumstances.

Like Mason posted, I'm 13 when UT Sports or Volnation is involved.

FOR - We've lost to more talented teams and won against less talented teams. We even had one game stolen from us against a vastly more talented team. The left tackle flinched. We will win 3-4 more games this year, and will get better as some of the outstanding freshmen get more experience. This happens over time. Patience.

For - Giving Dooley his chance. He is here. The program is in a mess, which was not of his doing. He is expected to make what he has better, and make what he recruits in the future better. He is not going to compete against who we want to beat, with what he has. At that point, I will determine if he can make it at UT, and in the SEC. He has a tough road. He has a lot to learn, and this is not a patient crowd.

For. Because they coach for the vols. They need to be given a fair shot but need to show signs of brilliance by the end of next year. Not expecting 10 wins next year, but definitely proof that the system is shaping up. I like CDD's style thus far - more class than kiffin and way more fire than Fulmer. One thing I don't like about this staff is that the lack of true vols; with the exception of chuck smith who I hope moves up the ranks and has a long tenure here. Let's just hope in 10 years that CDD is considered a true vol.

FOR, you cant judge DD 6 games in, I have seen alot of thing to be encouraged about, these kids are young, they are also trying to get used to a new coach and most likely a new system, and also because Lane Kiffin is a D-bag(this has nothing to do with it, but I just couldnt help myself, sorry):rock:
