got me thinking since the guy posted the vol defense in 4 years.

QB - Phillip Simms
RB - Toney Williams(Bryce will be gone in 3)
FB - ?
WR - Jabriel Washington(Nu'keese will be gone in 3)
WR - Markeith Ambles
TE - Christian Coleman
OT - Antonio Richardson
OT - Jerquari Schofield
OG - Eric Maclain
OG - Chaz Green
C - Kevin Revis

DE - Jacques Smith
DE - Willie Bohannon
DT - Montori Hughes
DT - EJ Ferguson
WLB - Herman Lathers
MLB - Jerod Askew
SLB - Greg King
CB - Mike Edwards
CB - Marsalis Teague
SS - Darren Myles
FS - Janzen Jackson

how would you guys feel about this team? :rock:

Think it looks pretty good. Richardson will be here though. Also Oku will be a factor. And also think we will pick up a big time corner prospect that would start in one of those spots. Also what about James Stone? Think we will pull this guy.

These are just my opinions. James Stone could be in the mix but I dont get a good read on him. Those 4 OT's and Guards are extremely good. Eric Macclain is a likely 5*. If we have better corner prospects than Mike Edwards and Teague over the next year or 2 we are going to be sitting very very pretty. Mike Edwards is extremely underrated. I think he's the second best secondary prospect behind Janzen of our freshman class.

He's a good player but he's not better than Myles Jr. or Teague. Eric Gordon is the wildcard. Don't really know how good he is.

we'll agree to disagree. I think Mike Edwards is the best player in the secondary of those recruits. Teague is more versatile and Myles is really going to be a safety because he doesnt have the hips that Edwards does. Edwards also came from one of the better ran programs in the country.

Looks good, but I bet with the recruits being brought in over the next 4 years I would venture to say it is over 50% wrong in reality.

yeah. I guessed on a couple recruits for next year like antonio richardson, coleman, and washington. Itll be more wrong than 50% in reality. players will get hurt, leave, players will come in, etc. etc.

Why does everyone pencil Jackson in as a safety?

Jackson seems more like a lockdown CB to me and Teague more of the FS type...that is if Teague doesn't fill the slot WR role perfectly like he has the potential to

Given injuries, grade or crimininal defections, transfers, recruiting busts, NFL entry, potnetial coaching changes, etc., how on Earth you can forecast what your team will look like in four years just mystifies me.

my god loosen up. we all know this is going to be inaccurate but at the same time fun to think about. :good!:

I just put the 4 best Defensive backs on the field without giving much thought as to where they should be. The coaches have already stated they will find a spot for the best players.

and it amazes me how that Gator fan's can say that they are gonna beat us like a drum this year! The SEC had better be very worried and Tebow might want to Pre registar at the local hospital, I expect our Kiffin made defense to break both of his legs!

Wasn't talking about as a corner in Myles case. But Teague looked better to ME in his highlight film on D. But I'm really talking about as DBs.

Teague is very good. I just like Mike Edwards. I think he was the steal of our recruiting class. Im hoping they are all gems though. Thatd be alright by me. :eek:k:
