When they talk about "watching film" I always wonder what that means (besides the obvious). Are they watching game clipshighlighting their specific position? Who produces the films? Are they tailored for the player? Are there booper reels, etc.?

Can they stream them to their phones?

Every high school with which I am familiar, films all practices, scrimmages, and games the same as colleges do. As you know they review these films to evaluated the effectiveness and executition of each player and play to identify results of the players and plays against themselves and their opposition. These films are used to determine which play work best against different defenses and which defenses works best against different offenses. Film is the most effective way to evaluate and teach any sport and is today used everywhere, including little league.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I'm a "visual" learner, so that all makes sense to me. It must take a lot of work to produce these things.

Talk is cheap, or at least that’s what Vanderbilt said, no argument here.

Nice! Every tidbit of positive news is always needed and appreciated during this down time that seems to get longer and longer each year.
