Vol Network Debuts ''ArenaCast'' at Thompson-Boling Arena for Basketball

This season the Vol Network will offer an "ArenaCast" of Tennessee basketball games at Thompson-Boling Arena. Fans attending Vols and Lady Vols basketball games can listen to the radio broadcasts on headphones by bringing a small personal radio with them to the arena and tuning it to 99.3 on the FM dial.

Its kind of weird they are just now doing that...

I broadcast in minor league baseball and we have had a transmitter here for at least the last 5 years...Its an FM signal that can be heard in the ballpark and probably in a 5 mile radius....We do that because it is better reception than listening on the AM signal that we broadcast on normally.

The transmitter only cost around $500....interesting, but good to hear.
