Mod likely to move this, but I can't help it. The guy who told me Vandy had run out of magic just afore their near Texas upset, how bout now? As I've stated before, I want any out-of-state team to dread playing a Tennessee team, especially the Vols. I'm shocked at Vandy's performance this season. We better enter the Vandy game with a killer instinct because those guys are playing 8 miles above their freaking heads. As I said a bit over a week ago, Vandy isn't candy this season. We better play with murderous intent or else.

I agree. Vandy is going to be a tough outing this year, but I think thats what we need.

I think we need a big win against a quality opponent right before the last CFP rankings to make sure we are in the playoff. Bis win against a 7 or 8 win Vandy will mean more to the committee than a big win against a 2 or 3 win Vandy.

At least somebody got what I was aiming at.

Agreed OP.

Vandy hates us too so they’ll be as motivated as they possibly can be when we play,

We need to demoralize them early and that’s what worries me. The first half hasn’t be great to us recently.

Whole thread is shortsighted imo...why only worry about 2024 Vandy when we could also be worrying about 2025 Vandy, or Vandy-in-perpetuity?

If we're going to worry in leap-frog fashion, let's worry big, damnit!

I am sure that is what the team is doing. As fans, we can do whatever the heck we want… usually whining, complaining and overreacting.
Yes, that is what we have experience in and what we do best.

Because we all know next season, Vandy will be back to the old Vandy we know and loathe.

Vandy will be tough, gotta weather the storm. Clark Lea will leave them this off season for a better job opportunity, Pavia will graduate, and then they’ll return to normal.

JH has no excuse not to be ready for Vanderbilt because everyone is seeing what they’re doing so there’s no surprise in store. But let’s take care of the three games ahead of us first.
