There's really not...that I've found anyway. I've often wondered if there are enough alums in the Sarasota/Bradenton/Venice areas to have a chapter.

Where are you located? I'm in Sarasota near University.

I don't live there, but my family vacations in Venice. I'd be happy to know where I can hang with fellow Vols when in gator country. I'm usually down there in the off season. My grandad is '39 UT alum, but he is 95 and doesn't get down there often anymore. His stories about having classes with UT all Americans are classic! You can sense his passion for the Vols even at 95. One of many things I'll miss when he's gone.

That's great that you spend time with your grandad sharing UT football. I don't get down to Venice too often so I don't know if there is a UT bar down there or not.

That's one of the issues around this area. It can take a while to get around.

DeSoto is still in the neighborhood. Someone told me the other day that a few Vol Fans hangout at the Bearded Clam on game days. He said usually around 10 or so people.
According to him the owner is a UT graduate.

I know it's a hour drive but there is a large gathering in Tampa, close to the stadium. Vol fans fill the bar and really good food also.

I am in Sarasota and would love to have some fellow Vols to watch the game with. I have just gone to Geckos at the Landings before but no other TN fans were there.

Maybe we see where everyone is located and find a bar in the middle for a game.

I plan on getting to the Bearded Clam and meeting some Vols fans. For those of you that know the area,, I went to BJ's last week. When I finished shopping and was heading to my vehicle I noticed a man approaching me.( I have a power T on the side of my vehicle and a tag emblem. )You never know about people.. by the time I got the door open he asked if I was a TRUE VOL FAN.... I said HELL YEAH... so we had some great discussion. We found out that we were in school together during the same years. I have been stopped many times wearing Vols apparel telling me they liked my shirt or hat or whatever I was wearing. There are several Vols fans in the area. We need to figure out a way to get 'all of us together'...

We live close to Sarasota Square Mall on the south side of town. We moved from TN last year. I see power T's on cars every now and then but have not met anyone out. My husband and I took the dogs to the beach in Venice a few months ago and someone lives in a mobile home park right off the trail that had a huge TN flag flying. Made my heart leap for joy when I saw it. Haha!

Maybe we can meet up at the Bearded Clam or something, i think I almost have the wifey tuned into the VOLS... at least she buys me VOL stuff. Last year I was gone early morning game day,, and when I came home she had the house decorated ORANGE AND WHITE,,,

The next couple of weeks may be off the table for me. Parents in town from Lenoir City this weekend and next. After that, though...maybe we plan a get-together for the UGA game.
