I'm in Florida.
Rivers have receded.
Gas stations mostly restocked.
Gainesville very safe and secure.
Power back up.
The original Santa Fe River rising level alert over I-75 has now been lifted.
The forecast for showers now stands at only 10% late Saturday afternoon.

So, come on down Vol fans.
Gator fans very pessimistic after Michigan walloping.
There are cheap tickets everywhere.
Scalpers will be practically giving them away tomorrow because so many Gator season ticket holders across the state are not coming due to doing Irma cleanup at their homes.

Visitor section:

So, get your wild hair, and get in your car and head toward Hogtown, aka Gainesville, Florida.
Let's have a great turnout for our boys in REAL OrAnge.

Uh, there's been several travel advisories regarding I-75 north of Gainesville, due to the Santa Fe River's rising water levels.

To your point, Saturday's game will not be a sellout.

But I would caution anyone driving to Gainesville from outside of Florida to be aware there is a chance I-75 is closed due to flooding.

Thought the crest was Thursday evening. If the I-75 bridge over the river were ever going to be closed, think that would've been when.

By now, should be a non-issue.

EDIT: all green, good to go. https://www.navbug.com/traffic_conditions_on/florida/i-75.htm

I'd really like to see that nasty swamp turned Tennessee Orange.

Cheap tickets are all the reason we need for more Vols fans to invade.

Be proud, be LOUD and go support our footVol Team get the WIN in the swamp and help make a little more recent history.

VFL...GBO!!!

U r correct.
All is good now with the Santa Fe.
Florida officials and residents have done a great job with this enormous challenge. :clapping:

I'm looking to make the trip up for the game with my brother. We just got power back down here in south Florida but are looking forward to the game.

Can someone tell me which sections are Tennessee section? The last 2 times I went to the swamp I was in deep blue and it wasn't very enjoyable experience. Thanks!

Last time I was in Gainesville for a 3:30 game, our section was the surface of the sun in the middle of the humid part of that section.

Last game I went to down there I had to go lay down in the nurses tent. Alcohol and sun was a bad combo that day.
