Phil Fulmer was given ample opportunity to right the ship. While some will disagree I think general consensus rests firmly in this argument.

Vol fans were patient then.

Now with the Boyd situation and as speculation about the new staff runs rampant I say be patient. Trust the vision that LK has for this program.

The decision was not a knee jerk reaction. There has been a plan for this all along. The Auburn situation really made me realize how patient we have been.

My impression was that Kiffin knew exactly what he wanted to do with this program when he accepted the offer, and now has a plan in place to get it there. He's in the process of making it all happen. It's fun to watch.

Go Vols!!!!!

It's just that now there's nothing to talk about!

Three months of ire around here, and now there is peace throughout the land...

I agree. I also like how he seems to be honest with recruits in respects to what his system will do.

You can say that again. Despite the frustration that I had with hambone over the fulmer contract last summer, I have to say that he handled the coaching search brilliantly... particularly when compared to the manner in which Auburn conducts itself - both this week and a couple of years ago with the Petrino debacle.

Hamilton was extremely professional in the way that he handled fulmer's departure, and the confidential nature of the search.

I thought the fools in Fayetteville were the only SEC fan base crazy enough to run their best coaching option out of town. Now Auburn goes and one-ups them.

That may be more of a one man decision that's been a sore, chaiffing is arse for quite sometime,,,,

And agree on giving the new Coach time, his players, his personality, pays off in the end.

I am officially now a Kiffinite.

I think we all need to be at this point. He deserves all the support we can give him. Let him have every opportunity to put his program in place and make it work.

Besides, there is no other choice. He is our coach now.

Go Vols!!!

I like the Boyd situation. Kiffin knows what he wants and it apparently isnt Boyd. He isnt keeping players around just to win recurint championships...he knws what he wants. I really dont see why people are upset about this.

Not a Kiffinite yet, just a supportive Vol fan, hope he knows what he is doing!

I'm with you on this one. I hope he does have a plan and knows what he wants and how to get it. The Boyd situation is FUBAR to me. But it does make you wonder who will lead the team next year? I firmly believe the QB's on the roster now can NOT do it.

Good luck LK......

p.s...can Layla come over and play??? :naughty:

Not me man, I put far more faith in the talent judging skills of internet posters than I do in football coaches...
exactly. I don't necessarily "like" that he did it. I'm just ambivalent. He'll put together what he feels like he needs. Debating that with him in this site is utterly senseless.
