Some schools seem to have traditions at certain positions. To me the offensive seems to be just that for us.

We really done well here over the years and I don't think this gets talked about enough. Starting with Coach Neyland's teams the line has been a strength for us.

I remember how staunch our line was under Dickey with star center Bob Johnson. What a stud. Phil Fulmer was All Sec then. With those lines we were beating and confounding Bear Bryant's Alabama teams.

There have been so many great road graders. Let's see, Harry Galbreath, Tim Irvin, Scott Wells, Juwuan James, Mickey Marvin, Chad Clifton, Cosey Coleman. I know I'm leaving out names that deserve to be mentioned.

I want this tradition to be continued in the future. I study recruit class lists to see what linemen are there.

I'm still miffed with last year's coach there - Will Friend. He took 4 five star players and badly undercoached them. Ugh.

Again, I want this tradition continued.

I think Pruitt meddled and micromanaged everything so much that all coaches under performed. Look at Chaney. He is not a terrible OC as he looked last yr, that was Pruitt forcing him to work with JG and would not let him open up the offense. The one coach that stood up to him he fired mid-season. Not sure if the Oline problems were with Friend or Pruitt. We will never know.

Yes, we've had some great offensive lineman. You know, historically, you can argue Tennessee is more known for OL's and Bama's known more for DL's. But what's ironic, according to people who vote on these sort of things, Doug Atkins was voted the greatest DL prior to 1975 and Reggie White 1976 to current day. And Bama's John Hannah the greatest OL.

And yet SCAR and Auburn fought tooth and nail to hire him.

Either they are idiots or the rumors I'm hearing is that CJP micromanaged all his position coaches which would explain a lot about last season.

They both wanted Bobo not Friend, and Bobo was dragging Friend around behind him long before Pruitt offered him stupid money to come to UT. Now he's back to following Bobo around, just like he was before Pruitt made him the second highest paid oline coach...in all of college football.

We are supposed to be wide receiver u, but to maintain that you need a QB that can get them the ball and an o-line that allows him to.
