Keep the URL for this interview handy, and just post it whenever someone who loves the Lady Vols but doesn't understand what Coach Caldwell is doing, posts those same old questions about her system. She answers them here.

...and be ready to fall in love with our coach a second time. We are blessed, and so is each girl who gets to play for her.

We don't want many folks outside the program to know much about the system she runs.
Opposing coaches might want to copy it or work out a way to beat the system.
Let's just keep it under our hats as much as possible.

Video addresses several arguments and should clear them up. I really hope she succeeds. She has brought in "fun."

She clearly clarifies “Wide Open” to start the season and pull back on the reins if necessary. Easier to back off than to crank it up mid season. She noted the need to modify in season practice demands ans required by schedule annd results.

Also discussed the number of shots vs playing time concerns. Noted that no one has jumped ship… 🤞

We’ll have at least eight maybe nine new faces. Hopefully we can develop wholesome perspectives on their strengths and weaknesses.

Thank you BO!

Austin Price is great. New appreciation.
Yeah, I came away with that same impression!

Maybe he saw a daughter in front of him. Maybe he saw someone for whom there are no controversial questions to be asked or avoided. But for whatever reason, it was just a relaxed, informed, conversation with an underlying tone of admiration.

And from experience, I'd say the interviewee also deserves a lot of credit for making the interview unfold easily and naturally. A defensive interviewee can turn a pleasant, informative chat into a courtroom interrogation (or a porcupine toss) very quickly!

Wonderful interview. I don't think any of us understand how tough it was to coach and run a program while being pregnant then having Connor. Kim is one tough Woman to do what she did and exceed expectations with Uconn W and sweet 16. When she talked about player development especially with Ruby and Zee wonderful. We do have a winner as Lady Vols coach one driven to get program back to the Top of the game. In CHRIST Alone

Wow, good on AP for conducting a good interview for once!

Kinda joking, but his interview skills (as someone who used to be an interviewer in media) haven't ever really impressed me.

Anyway, really enjoyed listening to Kim break things down and discuss things. Love hearing her in interviews, feels like she is comfortable behind the mic and in front of a camera always.

Time will tell if this is a short-run option in women's basketball, or an era like the Wishbone Triple Option in football. But there's definitely the potential for CKC to produce a coaching tree of devotees.

If so, we could see a plethora (nod to Howard Cosell) of very talented assistant coaches pass through our program.
