Hobock...you should try the batch of Kool Aid I made...it's mighty good!....also I am the kind of fan that remains optimistic yet at the same time realizes the team isn't very good haha

We'll win two of three from LSU, but lose to USC Upstate for the second year in a row.

It's actually a slightly torn quad. He is still day-to-day. We likely won't see him until Friday.

I'm certainly not a "big inside source". I do however have a connection. Let's just keep the status quo. Go Vols!

I have to agree with TNVol58.. we can beat LSU... only if our bats wake up.... and not hit into so many double plays and strike outs (14 against SC on Sunday alone!). the pitching and defense will do fine. We should have beat SC and it wasnt because they were so much better or their pitching was better(although I was impressed by a few of those guys) we are just FLAT at the plate. The Vols can be a very dangerous team if they come together... they can beat anyone!!!!! And I dont drink Kool-Aid. And Josh has a muscle tear in his quad he keeps re-injuring it. Those take a long time to heal properly.

You don't drink Kool-Aid? I thought it was FDA approved with minimal side-effects. Lol! I agree with your assessment. I would like to see a batting order that looks the same everyday. If PJ and Ozzie are the most consistent with RISP, and everyone else is struggling, I say just pick a line-up and stick with it. Win or lose, this is a game of streaks and slumps. I say just ride out this apparent team-wide hitting slump with the same guys everyday. Any thoughts on that, guys? Thanks for the health updates VolDoc11!

If I had to put a lineup together, this would be it:

1.Polk
2.Osborne
3.Hawn
4.Liles
5.Hamaker
6.Forsythe
7.Thurber
8.Duffy
9.Norfork

Stubbs, Fritts, and Steckenrider have REALLY struggled at the plate

I think that will work. I would swap Hawn and Liles (when Liles is healthy). I also think Grisham should be playing 2nd. Norfolk is a great 9 hole lead-off hitter if you plan on playing small ball and trying to manufacture runs. Other than that, I'm all in!

It sure is quiet around here when were beating a mid-week opponent that we are supposed to beat. I hear crickets! Haha!

Please forgive the masses for not celebrating a victory over an opponent that we should beat 100 times out of 100.

And you were nowhere to be seen this weekend when UT was swept by SC.

You know....an SEC team....the kind we are supposed to be able to compete against.

If we were only supposed to "compete" against SC, then it was a successful weekend. I am disappointed after every loss but I don't turn into Chicken Little like some on here(not you of course;).

A sweep is not competing.
